Classes on North Orlando Avenue
The Petco at 501 N Orlando Ave in Winter Park runs dog training as store 2545. Group classes meet in the store for six weeks, with up to four other dogs in each hour-long session.
Class menu
Puppy class takes dogs 8 to 16 weeks old and covers potty training, socialization and cues like sit, down and come. Beginner is for 16 weeks to 6 months, adding loose-leash walking and tricks. Fundamentals and Advanced serve dogs 6 months and older, moving on to heel, recall with distractions and polite greetings. Private 45-minute sessions are booked one-on-one with a trainer, starting with an introductory Private Lesson 101 for new customers, and multi-session private packages follow a customized plan.
Before the first class
Owners bring a leash, collar or harness, proof of vaccinations, training treats and poop bags.
Training hours
Classes at North Orlando Avenue are scheduled 9 a.m.–9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m.–8 p.m. on Sunday. Call (407) 961-4180 to book.
