About Canines 4 Hope

Service dog and obedience academy

Canines 4 Hope is a certified service dog and dog obedience training academy in Palm City on the Treasure Coast, training service dogs for over 20 years. Its trainers are members of the IACP, the Service Dog Animal Registry of America (SARA) and the AKC, and are approved AKC CGC Evaluators.

Service, alert and therapy dogs

Custom programs cover service dogs (PTSD, psychiatric and autism), assistance dogs for wheelchair and stability support, therapy dogs, and alert dogs that respond to seizures, panic attacks and blood sugar changes. Canines 4 Hope offers pre-trained dogs that can be tailor trained to a client's needs in 3 to 6 months, and these programs serve clients nationwide.

Obedience and behavior

For Martin, St Lucie and Palm Beach County owners, Level 1 basic obedience covers leash walking, recall, sit, stay, housebreaking and jumping, and Level 2 advanced covers digging, barking, chewing, place, hand signals and off-leash work. Behavior training addresses dog and people aggression and rescue rehabilitation. Puppy training, in-home training through house calls, board and train at the Palm City facility, and boarding round out the menu.
