About Champion K9 Training

Competition-level trainer, real-life training

Champion K9 Training is a Cape Coral dog trainer serving Fort Myers and nearby Southwest Florida, with bilingual service in English and Spanish. It is led by Jonathan Franco, an IGP3 competitor, Search & Rescue handler and AKC CGC Evaluator, whose German Shepherd Enzo has earned three IGP3 titles, including First Place at the Gulf Coast Schutzhund Club Spring DVG Trial in 2026. His listed experience also includes BH, IGP1, IGP2, HRD training and NSDA Wilderness Trailing III.

Programs

Puppy Foundations builds engagement, confidence and early manners. Private Obedience & Manners covers leash pulling, recall, place, impulse control and public manners. Behavior Modification addresses reactivity, fear, anxiety, resource guarding, lunging and barking, after an evaluation. Working Dog Development covers BH and IGP preparation, tracking, scent work, competition obedience and protection foundations. Training may include private lessons, in-home coaching and sessions in public places around Cape Coral.

Method

Training is individualized and combines motivation, structure, clear communication and appropriately selected equipment, with any tool explained before use. Owners learn the system, not just the dog.

What owners say

"I'm now able to enjoy walking with my dog rather than have him pulling me along," wrote one client.
