About Lead Me

The Canine Care Center in Dunnellon

Lead Me, also called The Canine Care Center, is a dog training business in Dunnellon run by Deborah Busch, an AKC Evaluator. It uses a humane, reward-based training methodology to build trust and respect between owner and dog, with a holistic approach aimed at dogs that are balanced mentally and physically.

Services

Puppy training includes group puppy classes, private in-home sessions and daycare with training and socialization. Private training for manners, obedience and behavioral issues takes place in the home or at the facility. AKC classes cover S.T.A.R. Puppy, Canine Good Citizen, Community and Urban. Group training covers beginning and advanced obedience with controlled exposure to everyday sounds and activities. The service dog program helps find suitable puppies or older dogs through temperament testing, and trains owners with a disability from basic manners through public access and task training. Board and train has limited openings, and grooming instruction is offered online or in person.

What owners say

The owner of a rescued poodle wrote: "I have learned more in one session than all others combined." Another client said Deborah boarded and trained their dog Otis and "returned a better, calmer version of Otis."
