About Team Sport Of Agility
Agility built on foundation
Team Sport Of Agility is a Williston agility training business run full time by Michelle Barnes, a Certified Agility Instructor through Julie Daniels' White Mountain Agility School. Michelle started agility in 2000 and has trained with handlers including Greg Derrett, Susan Crank, Stuart and Pattie Mah and Linda Mecklenberg. Her motto is that agility foundation is the key to a successful team.
Classes and method
Michelle uses only positive reinforcement methods and teaches group classes and private instruction from Puppy Introduction to Competition agility for teams working toward master and championship titles. Classes are kept small and use rubberized AKC regulation equipment, and she coaches all breeds for AKC, USDAA, UKC, NADAC, ASCA and CPE.
Practice days and clinics
Agility Run For Fun (ARFF) days cost $5.00 a run, with toys and treats allowed and no harsh methods. Select Friday nights at 7PM bring CO-OP run-throughs for $5.00 a dog. Workshops fine-tune weaves and contacts, specialty seminars cover jump grids, box work and serpentines, and guest clinicians visit through the year.
What owners say
"She practices a completely positive, no punishment approach to dog training," one student wrote.
