About Wags to Riches Dog Daycare and Training Center

Training and daycare in Lockport

Wags to Riches operates at 842 N State St in Lockport as a dog daycare and what it calls a canine enrichment center. Alongside daycare it offers training and behavior modification services.

Training

Group classes run on Saturday mornings. Private training is available at the facility, and in-home training is offered within towns surrounding Lockport, with special cases considered. Private sessions are by appointment Monday through Saturday.

Daycare

Daycare is described as more than a day of play: staff work basic obedience, social skills and games into the day. New dogs need a meet and greet and temperament evaluation before enrolling.

Experience and method

The site says the founder has over 32 years of experience in dog training and behavioral sciences. The approach is described as a positive motivation and reinforcement methodology focused on teaching owners to communicate with their dogs.

What to ask

Ask about the Saturday group class schedule, whether in-home sessions reach your town, and how training can be combined with daycare.
