About Dog Sports Trainer

About

Dog Sports Trainer is the training practice of Carole Field, operating in St. Johns, Michigan. The site's footer identifies the business as "Dog Sports Trainer (Carole Field LLC)" and its banner describes it as "Serving the Dog Community Since 1985 – Expert Dog Training Built on 40+ Years of Proven Results." The published contact details are (989) 640-5217 and CaroleField@DogSportsTrainer.com.

Training offered

Three formats are published. Private lessons are offered as "one-on-one training designed specifically for you and your dog." Group obedience classes are offered, with a class schedule linked from the home page. The site also describes an immersive option: "Our professional trainer is available to perform 1 to 4 weeks of immersive training designed exclusively for your dog."

Approach

The published approach is praise-based and communication-led: "You will learn positive, praise-based cues that motivate your dog to learn, helping them master practical skills and lasting behaviors." The site frames training as a handler skill rather than a set of commands – "Dog training isn't just about commands; it's about communication, trust and understanding" – and says the aim is "not short-term success, but long-term results that carry into everyday life."

Who it suits

The site addresses both ends of the range, "From trusted family companions to high-level competition dogs," and states that the goal is the same either way: "clear communication, mutual understanding, and practical results."
