About A to Zebo
Who they are
A to Zebo LLC is a solo, force-free animal training business run by Alex, whose page title places the business in Van Buren, MI. The name comes from a dog: "The decision to start this business became clear to me when a dog was left tied to a gazebo in the middle of a snowstorm. I was lucky enough to take him in and work with him. I'm not great with names, so Gazebo stuck. He was untrained, fearful, and reactive. Growing with him has changed my life… He's the heart of A to Zebo." Alex's background is broad: "I've trained many types of animals, from leopards to wolves to donkeys."
What they do
Three delivery formats are published. In-home sessions travel to you: "I travel up to an hour out to service areas across Wayne, Washtenaw, and Monroe counties – including Belleville, Ypsilanti, Ann Arbor, Canton, Detroit, and surrounding towns." Training at the trainer's own location uses "a fenced-in backyard," and for reactivity or socialization work "we can also meet up at local parks or other public spots." Boarding and a Board & Train program are both one animal at a time: "I only ever take on one animal at a time so I can focus completely on their safety, comfort, and specific needs." The Board & Train is described as "intensive, completely force-free behavioral support," with daily training sessions, field trips and dedicated playtimes in a quiet, low-stress environment, from "a one-week jump start on basic skills" to "a deeper behavioral foundation."
Species and pricing
The remit goes beyond dogs: "From a new puppy to a dog with complex needs and even cats, exotics, and livestock, I am here to help you and your animals succeed." Pricing is flat regardless of difficulty: "Whether you are starting fresh with a new puppy or navigating tough behavioral challenges like reactivity and aggression, the rate is exactly the same… you don't pay a premium just because your dog is having a hard time." In-home or on-location sessions are $75, with bundles at $210 for three, $325 for five and $600 for ten. Travel fees apply beyond a 30-minute drive: +$15 for 31-45 minutes, +$25 for 46-60 minutes. A referral credit of $15 is offered. Contact: atozebo@gmail.com, (734) 331-0836.
