I highly recommend The Handsome Hounds for all of your training needs. We recently adopted a 10 month old St. Bernard who came to us a complete mess regarding his behavior, and after only two classes with Andrew has gone from being completely unmanageable to us being able to walk him without fear of him attacking other dogs, or pulling on the leash. The training our dog, and we have received, has truly been life changing for the family dynamic as we will be able to enjoy walks with our dogs instead of dreading them.

I don’t have enough wonderful things to say about The Handsome Hounds & Vinny. I went in extremely overwhelmed and didn’t know what to do with my 80 pound 10 month old German Shepherd who was showing signs of fear based reactivity and going through the normal terrible teen phase. Vinny instantly calmed my nerves upon our first visit. He is very knowledgeable and assured me our puppy would be fine. We’ve been going there for a couple of months now & my boy is a brand new dog but even better we are extremely bonded now & I have learned just as much as him. We’ve done private lessons, pack walks, group classes & enrichment times & still are because we are having such a great time and making so much progress. This place has so much to offer & is the most affordable place around. Our boy absolutely loves going there & adores Vinny. We are truly grateful to have found them and absolutely recommend them to everyone.

Trying to sell our home has been difficult. Especially with a 3 year old chocolate lab and a 2 year old English bulldog. Many hours spent cleaning to be immediately destroyed by muddy paw prints. Endless hours spent in the car to be out of the house for last minute showings. I finally bit the bullet and made an hour enrichment appointment at Handsome Hounds. I wish I would have done it weeks ago. The facility is huge and incredibly clean. Dog toys galore as well as cozy seating for humans. The owner was knowledgeable and friendly. An hour spent there instead of the car or in a park in the dark cold rain, was well worth the cost. Recommend all services they provide. The enrichment hour was the perfect amount of time for my boys to get their energy burned off. Will be going back again soon.

Working with Andrew at The Handsome Hounds has been a great experience. I’m being educated so that I can educate my pup. The best part about it is that it works!! I started with some leash training in small increments of time. Now, within days, I have my dog, Mabel, walking 1 mile in the morning and 1 mile in the evening. Very good experience and will continue to learn with The Handsome Hounds!

After being attacked twice, my dog became very fearful of other dogs and would try to run away at the first sign of another dog. After a month (4 Sundays) of packwalks, Asha became much more calm and confident around other dogs! Walking and being around other animals and people is now a fun and relaxed activity for us both!
If you have a reactive (aggressive or fearful) dog, the Packwalks are an absolutely amazing opportunity to help your dog learn to be neutral around other animals and people and it helps to build their confidence and can enhance your bond with your dog!
10/10 recommend The Handsome Hounds Training/Classes. Andrew is an amazing trainer!
