About Exceptionally Obedient Dogs LLC
The trainer
Exceptionally Obedient Dogs LLC in Fort Jennings is owned by Joshua Osting, who bills himself as a "Master Dog Trainer" and a graduate of the Tarheel Canine School for Dog Trainers, with "hands-on experience with countless pet dogs, police dogs, and Military Working Dogs." His training passion began in 2015 and the business was founded in July 2021.
Method and services
The approach stresses "consistency, clear communication, and patience," helping owners "speak" their dog's language "using simple commands and reinforcement." Services span one-on-one training, board & train, group classes, specialty training, behavior modification, and boarding, with skills ranging from basic and off-leash obedience to scent detection, tracking, and protection work. No formal certification acronyms or sport titles are claimed; the police/military lineage and broad working-dog scope are the distinguishing notes.
Behavior modification for unwanted or problem habits.
Protection & K9
Protection and personal-defense work for suitable dogs.

I have a 6 month Shepherd mixed puppy. That jumped on us, taking things off the counter especially paper and tear it up. Even with all the toys she still would grab some shoes. She barked all the time when going into the vets. She now is not doing all that stuff. She still trys once in awhile. But when I say the command word she listens. She sits in her place when someone comes over until I give her the command word that she can get up and walk around. My Stormie was there for the 4 week board/train. She came home on the weekends and you could always tell the obedience she learned Thank you Josh you did a wonderful job.

Josh is an absolutely amazing trainer. If your pup needs some manors, I would absolutely recommend him. He was absolutely wonderful with my girl Oakley. We did the 4 week board and train. Every pick up we could see more and more improvement. She no longer jumps on my company when they come over. She is very well behaved out in public and doesn’t flinch at other dogs while out on our walks.

I highly recommend Josh & his training services. We have a 7 year old dog that we put through Josh’s 4 week board and train. I was skeptical at first as everyone loves to say “they’re too old they can’t be trained” that is absolutely not true. After our first bringing her home we already saw the improvement. Week by week our dog came such a long way from when we started. Josh is very knowledgeable and patient. Such a great experience & will be using him in the future for his services.

Great trainer who is dedicated, knowledgeable, and gets real results. Highly recommend Josh. We are grateful for all the work you put into Frankie and for showing her so much love while she was at board & train. TY

💯 recommend Josh Osting. He is a great trainer with the dogs & their owners. He does what’s best for your situation.
So worth it!! If you have any doubt, call him! He has different training classes and 1 on 1. We did the 1on 1. He came to our house because it was best for the dogs.
We all love our furbabies but forget at times that it’s not always their fault it’s the guidance & training we aren’t giving them.
