About A Dog’s Tale LLC

Force-free training in Ripon

A Dog's Tale LLC is based in Ripon and offers private training, group classes, boarding and a Stay & Train program to what it calls the Central Wisconsin community. The team describes its approach as force-free and scientifically sound, and invites new clients to start with a free discovery call.

Group classes

Small classes run about 45 minutes and are capped at five dog-and-handler teams. The menu includes Puppy Manners, Teenage Manners for dogs 4 to 8 months, Basic Manners for any age, Leash Manners & Polite Greetings, Recall, Tricks and Games, a Junior Handler class for kids, and a cooperative Nail Care class.

One-on-one and day training

Private Training sessions require the guardian to take part. Day Training is a hybrid: your dog works with a trainer during the day and you get coaching sessions so the skills carry over at home. Behavior cases start with a 90-minute consultation.

Stay & Train and clubs

Stay & Train has a two-week minimum and ends with a transfer lesson and a follow-up session. It is not offered for aggression or separation anxiety. The Big Feelings Club works on on-leash reactivity with alumni teams.

What to ask

Ask which class fits your dog's age, whether your case needs a behavior consultation first, and whether Stay & Train or Day Training suits your goals.
