About ASA Service Dogs Inc.

Nonprofit service dog training in Plant City

ASA Service Dogs is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization operating in the Plant City and Lakeland area, dedicated to assistance dog placement, training, education and awareness. It names education as its primary goal, and appointments are by arrangement.

Programs

ASA offers fully trained service dogs, including autism service dogs, as well as advanced training lessons for people owner training their own service dog. For therapy work it offers trained therapy dogs, handler training, testing preparatory classes and certification. Emotional support dog training serves people who need extra help in daily life but may not qualify for or require a service dog. The organization also runs an online dog training school, an apprenticeship program and puppy raising, and trained ASA dogs are available to any individual living in the United States. Applying for a service dog begins with an initial application and an application fee.

Volunteering

Volunteers help as puppy raisers and foster trainers, at events and in fundraising, and student volunteer time counts as community service hours.
