About AV Dog Training
What they do
AV Dog Training publishes three priced programs. Program I is eight sessions at $1,500 and covers foundational obedience by voice command and hand signal: sit, stay, down, come, place and heel, each described on the page — stay is taught for control while standing, opening doors and crossing the street on leash; place is “a designated area of rest and control.” Puppy behavior issues are included in these sessions. Program II is ten sessions at $2,000 and adds remote and long-distance work — a long stay of two to three minutes from multiple distances, an off-leash come at 15 to 30 feet, and a remote down by hand or voice at 15 to 30 feet. Program III is eighteen sessions at $3,500, covering long-distance commands around live distractions and temptations with fast recalls, socialization and control techniques, drills and utility sessions, with all earlier commands reinforced.
Practical terms
The site states that scheduling is first come, first served, that program totals are due in full at the end of the first session, and that programs are non-transferable and valid for one year from the first scheduled session. Importantly for anyone with a serious behavior case, it also states the business is “currently not accepting aggression cases.” Advanced sessions can be run at a local park or store.
