About Belle Shain Kennels & Farm

Who trains here

The home page is written by Frank Leatherbury, who introduces himself as the owner and says Belle Shain has run "since 1958", founded by his father. He describes himself as an AKC Master Judge and trainer; the home page credits him with over 40 years of experience and the About page with over 45 years of adult experience, and the About page adds Canine Good Citizen evaluator and Farm Dog evaluator among his titles.

How the training works

The home page offers "Professional training tailored for you, your family, and your dog", through classes and programs built on the business's trademark approach, "Mischief, Manners, & Fun", plus 1:1 coaching. The About page describes teaching dogs with patience and consistent repetition. One client testimonial on the home page describes off-leash recall work at the farm and an evaluation for AKC Canine Good Citizen tests.

Good to know

Training sits alongside boarding, daycare, grooming and AKC performance events on a 34-acre property along the Fish River.
