About Bold City K9
Veteran-owned training in Jacksonville
Bold City K9 is a veteran-owned, family-operated dog training business at 18941 West Beaver Street in Jacksonville, working by appointment only. It says families across Northeast Florida have trusted it for more than a decade, and owner Courtney Bentley dates the business to early 2014. The focus is real-world training for dogs owners can take to restaurants, parks, beaches and on vacation.
Programs
The main program is a structured board and train, where dogs live with their trainer in a home-based environment rather than a kennel and progress based on readiness. Puppy training builds confidence, manners and social skills. Every program includes lifetime follow-up coaching, and the team regularly works with dogs showing reactivity, aggression, fear and anxiety. Programs, pricing and availability are sent on request, followed by a free consultation.
The team
Courtney Bentley is a professional canine trainer and behavior specialist certified by Starmark Academy, Canine First Aid Certified, and previously a TSA 3PK9 certified explosives detection canine handler. Gavin Boomer is a US Navy veteran who worked with military working dogs, and Brittni Wenger completed an apprenticeship under Courtney and is Canine CPR certified. The team says it chooses methods, tools and structure deliberately for each dog.
