About Building Bonds

What they offer

Building Bonds is based on East Pima Street in Tucson and serves Sahuarita, Green Valley, Corona de Tucson, Oro Valley and Marana, with a travel charge for some areas. It offers Family Dog Mediation private lessons, a Day School, group classes and online courses.

Classes

The Puppy Start Right program covers young puppies through adolescence with an emphasis on ongoing social development, and the All Stages and Ages classes teach manners and life skills through game-based learning rather than drill-style obedience.

Day School

In Day School a trainer comes to your home while you are at work or on the school run and does the training for you. Programs include Puppy, Manners and Life Skills, and Reactivity Reimagined.

Behavior support and PDA

The Fretful Fido program supports dogs struggling with fear, anxiety, leash reactivity or aggression. The Pet Dog Ambassador program builds public manners through five levels and is described as a pathway for dogs preparing for therapy work or service dog public access.

How they train

The site describes Family Dog Mediation, Fear Free principles and evidence-based training, with a focus on understanding why a dog behaves as it does. It also publishes a guarantee; ask what it covers.
