About C6K9

What they do

C6K9 is a Newnan training business whose signature service is sourcing, training and delivering a fully trained dog, but the individual training lines are published separately: puppy training, obedience, behavior modification for aggression, reactivity and fear, a residential Stay & Train, drop-off Day Training, service and therapy dog work, and protection dogs.

The curriculum

The pre-training curriculum is set out in unusual detail for this metro: housebreaking, crate training and a sleep routine; loose-leash walking in busy urban and suburban settings, polite greetings and calm behavior around other dogs and distractions such as bikes and skateboards; thirteen core obedience commands including distance and distraction-proofed sit, stay and down, off-leash recall and heel; and structured socialization covering people of all ages, vehicles, groomer and vet handling, and sound desensitization.

The facility

Training runs out of the business's own indoor facility with a full-size turf floor, protection, obedience and agility equipment, and open field work outside, plus group sessions and open training nights. The site describes the business as veteran owned and operated with 20+ years of training experience, and offers follow-up training at no charge after placement.
