About Canine Communication Dog Behavior
Behavior help across DFW
Canine Communication Dog Behavior is a Fort Worth dog behavior business serving the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area. Founder Benji Tompkins describes himself as a certified Dog Behaviorist; he earned a certification in animal behavior and learned from senior trainers and educators including Dr. Ian Dunbar, Andrea Arden and Robert Cabral. His focus is personal canine communication based on love, trust and respect, and he sees training as only half the battle: the goal is to give owners tools to communicate with their dog long after sessions end.
Services and prices
Work starts with a 15-30 minute meet-and-greet. Virtual private lessons over Zoom or Facebook Messenger cost $100 a session, $500 for six or $900 for ten, and on-site private lessons at the owner's residence are $135 for one to two hours. Basic Puppy Training (six sessions, $600) covers crate and potty training, nipping and jumping; Advanced Puppy Training ($1,000, ten sessions) and the adult programs ($650 and $1,100) add recall, place and leash walking. A two-week board and train costs $2,500, day care and boarding $65 a day, and in-home aggression intervention $250 per dog.
What owners say
One client wrote: "We had trouble finding someone who would help us train our dog because he is deaf but that was NO issue for Benji."
