About Charlie’s Stay + Play

Charlie's Stay + Play is a membership-based dog daycare at 4 Ridge Road in Malta, and one of only two published training addresses in the Malta and Round Lake corridor along the Northway.

Three services, one membership

Daycare is the core: supervised playtime, socialization and quiet rest periods, tailored to the dog. Training sits beside it – "we offer a range of classes, including agility and obedience training," with the site stating that "our experienced trainers use positive reinforcement techniques." Boarding is the third, and is deliberately restricted: "To ensure we keep to our high standards of care and attention, boarding is available to current daycare members only." That members-only rule is unusual locally and worth knowing before planning a trip around it.

Hours and access

The published hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 6:00pm, closed at weekends – a weekday operation built around working owners rather than a boarding kennel's holiday rhythm.

Where the profits go

The site states that profits are donated to animal welfare organizations through the Business for Good Foundation. That is the business's own published statement.

A note on the address

A Ballston Spa street address is also in circulation for the business. The business's own site publishes 4 Ridge Road, Malta, NY 12020. The same premises and phone number also appear under an older name, Mahogany Ridge.
