About Complementary Canines

Balanced training built around the owner's lifestyle

Complementary Canines takes its name from its own definition, printed at the top of its home page: a relationship "where different elements work together harmoniously, enhancing and completing one another." Its stated mission is "to foster a complementary and harmonious relationship between pets and their owners," using "balanced training techniques that can be tailored to fit your unique relationship and lifestyle."

Services

The services page lists board and train, day training and at-home training, described as "customized training plans specific to you and your pets needs." The site also says it offers nutritional consultations, and that it sells seasonal treats "based on market availability and stock." A further service – "nutritionally balanced raw food customized to your pet" – is described on that page as something the business will be expanding into, not as something currently offered.

Method and background

The approach is set out explicitly: "a balance of rewarding good behaviors, correcting poor behaviors, and motivating them to preform desired behaviors," with the site adding that "effective training is not one-size-fits-all; rather, it should be tailored to the individual needs and personalities of each dog and owner." The about page says the business was "founded by Kale Gibson, a passionate dog trainer with a certification in dog training and obedience from the National K9 Institute in Columbus, Ohio," and that he graduated in early 2024. The stated core values are "client satisfaction and freedom." Contact runs through the email address and phone number published on every page.
