About Curtin Creek Canine
What they offer
Curtin Creek Canine is a small training and boarding business at a private residence on NE 119th Street in Vancouver, set on a 3.5-acre property. The trainer has years of daycare and boarding experience, has trained search dogs in wilderness air scent and human remains detection, and has fostered many dogs for a Belgian Malinois rescue, with extensive experience of fear, anxiety, reactivity and aggression.
Training
Day training, several days a week, suits puppies and dogs that need more stimulation, exposure or obedience: several one-on-one sessions a day on sit, down, recall and leave it, with structured leash walks to build manners and confidence. Private lessons start with an initial session for specific behavior problems, then follow-ups wherever the owner chooses, with a neutral dog available for practice. Board and train programs handle more intense cases, including human-directed aggression and resource guarding, with set requirements on medication and diet. Sport and work sessions cover odor detection and tracking.
Boarding
Structured small-scale boarding keeps a calm, low-anxiety environment, and day training can be added to a stay.
