About Diamond J Stockdogs

Cowdogs on Meander Road

Diamond J Stockdogs is a Granbury stockdog business at 3030 Meander Road, founded in 2014 by owner Jason Terrell. Jason spent over 20 years gathering cattle and shoeing horses, partly in East Texas, before working cow dogs convinced him they could bring cattle in with less stress and in half the time of hired hands on horseback. He lives in Granbury, about 40 miles southwest of Fort Worth.

Hangin Tree Cowdogs

The business works with Hangin Tree Cowdogs, a cross of Border Collie, Catahoula, Kelpie and Australian Shepherd developed to gather, retrieve and herd, stand up to all types of cattle, and wind and trail stock. Diamond J trains cowdogs for clients and also offers dogs for sale.

What owners say

One client who sent a young Hangin Tree Cowdog for training praised Jason's quiet, calm approach, which "really gets a dog working WITH you, not FOR you," along with the progress updates and ongoing support.
