Diana did an amazing job with our 5-month-old Norwegian Elkhound! From the start, she was professional, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what she does. The boarding and training experience exceeded our expectations—our puppy came home with noticeable improvements in behavior, obedience, and overall confidence. Let’s be honest she was already too confident, but Diana helped us with that too!

Diana, proprietor and first-string trainer at Diana's Doghouse, made a huge difference with our puppy Beau. He is Cavapoo, a cross between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Poodle. This breed is known for their resilient bonds to their adoptive parents. That can unfortunately make them highly prone to general fears and separation anxieties. At six months our Veterinarian recommended an online puppy school. They were rather affordable and offered unlimited live video chat group training. Along with a large library of video training demonstrations. Plus you can set up a live one-on-one call with a trainer. Overall they were a great value. But Beau still had some mild aggression and anxiety issues. After a year our Veterinarian suggested meds,, then adding a second one,, followed by increasing the dosage. With no noticeable changes. While having a deep-seated discomfort using behavioral medications, Just maybe there's a better way. Specifically focusing on building long-term skills rather than just managing symptoms.

While walking Beau in a local park. We came across Diana walking a whole pack of obedient dogs. After we had a meaningful discussion that afternoon. She met with us at our home and worked out a two week integrated training program structured to reinforce Beau's core obedience and impulse control. After signing a contract, Beau was tapered off the medications. Diana is both professional and patient, and sincerely cares about dogs. Part of the training involved field trips to different kinds of stores and even nursing homes. Where he learned to navigate loud distractions, aisles, riding elevators, wheel chairs, medical equipment, and gentle interactions with seniors. Always being cool. It wasn't all work, there was ample play time socializing with other dogs. Supervised in the spacious indoor training and secure outdoor play areas. We always received daily video clips of time spent that kept us informed of his progress. Seeing the "behind-the-scenes" of both the wins and struggles helps us feel like part of the process rather than just receiving a finished product.

In addition to meeting Beau's needs, Diana helped us to learn how to most effectively work with Beau. That’s the hallmark of a great trainer. A whisperer of sorts… They don’t just fix the dog; they provide you the tools needed to lead them effectively.

Two years ago we bought Finley, a sheepadoodle. When we brought her home she was so sweet and cuddly. We crate trained and I have trained all my previous lab mixes and golden retrievers without any difficulty. Finley was different. She became dangerous when we were going up and down stairs. Diana came to our house, explained everything in her training program. Finley went with Diana for 3 weeks and came back a different dog. She is able to off leash with me and always follows my commands. She is safe on steps. Diana is excellent at training dogs and owners. She is expensive but I would do it again. Well worth it. Her training and boarding facility is beyond compare!😊❤️

Diana was worth every penny!
It was a bit daunting at first knowing I’d be away from my dog for 3 weeks but the way Diana kept me up to date with texts, videos and photos, along with progress updates was awesome!! Lucy came home able to heel, leave it, no, sit, down, come and is much better with being left alone. She is so much less reactive to other dogs (I didn’t think that would be possible).
The crate is now something she goes in on her own. She still has her little terrier spark which I love but in a much better behaved 12 lb package of scruff  🙂

Diana is truly a dog whisper! She provided our almost two year old dog, Oliver the absolute best training we could have ever asked for! Prior to sending Oliver to Diana, his recall was terrible, struggled to contain his high energy excitement and we never thought he would be an off leash dog…
Oliver spent three solid weeks with Diana and while it was hard to not have our dog around, she sent us multiple videos/ photos and updates on his progression / what he will be working on the rest of the day and him enjoying playtime with the other dogs at doggy boot camp!!
After three weeks, Diana completely transformed our dog into an amazing listener who we now are able to have off leash during walks, public places & family events.
She is so passionate about her job and sees all the potential in every dog she works with and truly cares for each animal as if they’re her own. I can’t thank her enough for not only training our dog, but training my husband and myself too!
