Dog’s Retreat
Overview
About Dog’s Retreat
Dog's Retreat is a family-owned daycare and boarding facility on Troy-Schenectady Road in Latham that also runs training.
The training
Training sessions are published on weekdays and on Saturdays and Sundays, with professional trainers whose stated job is helping puppies and adult dogs learn to behave around people and other pets. Weekend availability is worth noting – most of this metro's class supply is weekday evenings.
Daycare and boarding
Daycare runs 6:00am to 7:00pm and dogs are never kenneled during the day. Boarding is available seven days a week with a 24/7 webcam and the option of someone on the premises at all times; the boarding price includes daycare and dogs are crated only between 10pm and 6:30am. Grooming is offered for all breeds.
Requirements
Rabies, distemper and Bordetella vaccinations are required for daycare, and all sizes and breeds are accepted after an aggression screening.
