Dog Training with Rhonda York is based at 2523 S 23rd St in Leavenworth, and the site says she has helped more than 1,000 families in Leavenworth County and the surrounding area since 2018. She teaches group classes and private sessions covering obedience, American Kennel Club titles and therapy dog preparation.

Classes

The class lineup runs from a Puppy Preparation Class for new puppy owners, through a puppy class that includes AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy, to a Beginner class for dogs 6 months and older and Intermediate and Advanced classes. A Canine Good Citizen preparation class ends with testing. Classes meet at local venues in Leavenworth and Lansing.

Private work and service dogs

Private sessions help dogs that are fearful or reactive to people or other dogs, and the site says group classes are not the right fit for those dogs. She also helps families prepare their dog for a new baby, and says that as of December 2025 she is a certified service dog trainer.

She trained through Animal Behavior College, is a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, a Canine Good Citizen evaluator and a licensed Family Paws educator, and uses positive, reward-based methods.
