Fluff N Ruff publishes a short, specific training menu alongside its pet sitting side, and the whole of it is written in the first person by a single trainer. The distinguishing feature of the private work is that it is genuinely private: "ONE-ON-ONE TRAINING. Each session is an hour long. Just you, me, and your dog. No other clients around. Individual coaching. I will coach you, so you have the skills and confidence needed to train and handle your dog." Those sessions are "By appointment only" and the published rate is "$70 per session," cash or check only.

Board and train

Board and train is residential in the trainer's own home rather than a kennel: "Dogs live with me at my house. At drop off we go over details of what you want the dog to learn during the board & train session. Calm stress-free environment. Dog will be in training 24/7; 2 weeks minimum." The program "Includes 3 one-on-one training sessions" so the handover is coached, and "Includes bath and nail trim before pick up." The published price is "$1,600 for 2 weeks," structured as a "$400 deposit required to be added to waiting list (non-refundable)," then "$600 due at drop off" and "$600 due at pick up," plus the cost of any equipment the trainer recommends.

Reactive dogs

A separate track is published for harder cases: "REACTIVE BOARD & TRAIN (Same requirements and inclusions as Board & Train, but for dogs that are reactive or have behavioral issues towards other dogs and/or people)." It runs on the same two-week shape at "$1,800 for 2 weeks," with a "$400 deposit," "$700" at drop off and "$700" at pick up.

Requirements and what to ask

Owners must "provide own food and proof the dog is up to date on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccinations," and payment across every service is cash or check only. Ask the trainer's name, certification and years in business; pet sitting and a client gallery are the other sections of the site.
