About Fox Hollow Kennel

Fox Hollow Kennel publishes a complete, priced menu – unusual at this size, and it makes the business easy to compare.

Board and train

Three programs are priced and one is on request. "Jump Start Basic $3,200" is "designed for puppies/young adult dogs (16 weeks+) to establish a foundation in basic obedience", covering "Place, Sit/Stay, Down/Stay, threshold/doorway manners, crate manners, recall, loose leash walking". "Good Dog $4,400" adds behavior work for dogs with "minor/moderate behavioral issues" such as "Excessive jumping, reactivity, minor resource guarding". A "Weekday Board & Train $750 per week" runs "Monday to Friday" with a Friday lesson and homework each week. "Good Dog Plus" is a 5+ week program for "moderate to severe behavioral concerns", priced on enquiry.

Lessons and classes

A "Consultation $200" is credited against a package booked the same day. Private lessons come in packages: "Private lessons are available in packages of 3 ($450) and 6 ($810)." Group classes run six sessions and are held off site at Barboursville Community Park – "Puppy Jump Start $175" for puppies four to eight months, "Dogs 101 $175" for older dogs needing the basics, and "Dog Gone Good $225" for dogs "with mild to moderate behavior issues such as reactivity or fear". The business is direct about who its beginner class is not for: Dogs 101 "isn't suitable for dogs with meaningful behavior issues such as serious reactivity, dog aggression, or high anxiety".

Boarding

"Vacation Boarding (available for current or past training clients) $45/day" and "Tune-up Boarding (includes refresher/maintenance training) $85/day", with a "Treadmill Session $15" add-on.

Who runs it

Amy Lamb, with over thirty years around dogs, who bought the boarding and training business in 2014 and whose focus, the site says, "shifted towards training and behavioral modification". Her competition background includes Schutzhund and IPO titles – a record, not a service, and no protection work is sold here.

One thing to check

Two addresses are published on the site, one in Barboursville and one in Gordonsville. Confirm which one to drive to when you book.

What they can help with

Certifications & verification

GetDogSchool checks each credential against the official public registry. We mark Certified only what we could independently confirm. How we verify →
●
The owner biography states she "successfully titled two dogs in IPO, in addition to achieving numerous other competition and training accolades". That is a competition record, not a certification and not a service.
Listed by the trainer — not independently verified.
