About Grassroots K9 Sarasota

Custom programs near Bradenton

Grassroots K9 Sarasota offers dog training in Sarasota and surrounding areas, including Bradenton. Every program starts with an individualized assessment of the dog's behavior, temperament and training level, along with the owner's goals and lifestyle. Methods are then matched to the dog's learning style and may include positive reinforcement, clicker training or other techniques, with flexible scheduling and follow-up sessions.

Head trainer

Head trainer Cory McDonnell has experience teaching handler courses to police personnel and brings knowledge of obedience, behavior modification and working dog training. He has competed in PSA (Protection Sports Association) and detection trials, and his approach emphasizes trust and communication while giving owners the tools to continue training at home.

Programs

Private lessons offer one-on-one work on behavior challenges, obedience or advanced skills. Group classes build confidence around distractions at various skill levels. Board and train keeps the dog for daily customized training, followed by guidance on maintaining it at home. Daycare and train pairs socialization and play with one-on-one sessions during the day, and a Puppy Foundations program is also offered.
