About Habitat Flats Kennels

Retriever training

Habitat Flats Kennels, on Highway D in Marceline, is the retriever kennel of the Habitat Flats waterfowl outfitter, which its About page says grew from humble beginnings in 2008. The kennel opened on March 1, 2021, and describes itself as a 5-star kennel for both hunting and household dogs: gun dog training, field trial training and basic obedience, with boarding, education and retriever breeding and sales.

The grounds

The page describes training courses, technical ponds and recreated hunting environments set in the rolling hills of northern Missouri, with the outfitter's duck farms and blinds used to train dogs on site. Event weekends invite clients to train with their dogs and attend seminars. Call (660) 734-9298.
