David is a marvelous trainer, with puppies or older dogs ( like Oggi who was already 5 when he started). David is quiet and friendly – the dogs love him and just want to please him. He teaches the owner how to apply his methods and is always happy to help if a little reinforcement is needed. Oggi is going on his first long flight (14 hours) and I am sure he is well prepared now. It’s the best decision I ever made and I highly recommend him!

Dave helped us when we unexpectedly adopted a high energy stubborn little dog 2 years ago. He now walks calmly on and off leash and is a great member of our family! Dave is also available for follow ups and training refreshers even now!

Before training with Hebler’s Dog Care, I had a very unruly house with three dogs of all ages. My 13 year old German Shepard was very anxious and didn’t know what to do with herself after I brought my new puppy Charlie home. My 9 year old Shiba had been running the house and chasing my cats. Not only did Dave help me train my puppy Charlie, but he stepped in and showed me how I could use the same techniques on my Shiba to keep him in line as well. Now my house is calm and in order and my 13 year old Shepard has never been happier. Dave was very calm and positive with his training, even when I felt I could be doing better. I would highly recommend Dave if you have a pup that needs training.

We had a great experience working with David to train our dog, Callie. She stayed with him for a couple of weeks as a puppy to learn basic obedience, and then he came to our home or met us places for follow-up sessions. David uses positive reinforcement with gentle correction. He was patient with both Callie and us, giving us lots of tips and being available by text if we ever had questions.

Callie is now so well mannered and eager to listen. We also loved when David’s sweet, well-behaved dog Hershey came along to help with training. The whole experience was absolutely worth it and we would recommend David to anyone looking for a caring, effective trainer!
