About Hipster Hound on Diamond

What they do

This is The Hipster Hound's Diamond Causeway location, at 1 Diamond Causeway, Suite 13, Savannah GA 31406. Its own published services for this site are retail store, daycare and grooming, plus a self-service wash with elevated tubs, shampoo, dryers and towels — and it is the facility where the brand's dog training classes are held.

The training class

The site is specific about what runs here: "We have partnered with At My Side K9 Dog Trainer, Ben Hutchinson, to offer beginner training classes at our 1 Diamond Causeway, Suite 13 facility." The class is described as suitable "for dogs 5 months and older with or without training," and the published outcomes are no more jumping on guests, basic manners including sit and stay, no pulling on the leash, and coming when called. The format is a four-week, one-hour class for $150, capped at six dogs per class, with prepayment required to reserve a place and proof of rabies vaccination required.

What to expect

Training here is a group class taught by an outside trainer rather than an in-house behavior program, so owners with serious reactivity or aggression should look at the metro's dedicated behavior practices instead. For a first course close to the southside, in a building the dog may already know from daycare or grooming, it is a straightforward starting point.

Where they work

The Diamond Causeway site is open 7am to 7pm, seven days a week. The brand's other Savannah location, on Echols Avenue, publishes boarding, daycare and grooming and does not host the classes.
