About Hospitable Hounds

Hospitable Hounds is a one-trainer, in-home practice that publishes its prices in full – the clearest price list of any Westchester in-home trainer in this directory.

Prices

A single one-hour session is $150. A five-session package is $650, saving $100, and is recommended for owners working on several goals at once. A ten-session package is $1,250, saving $250, and is aimed at more complex behavioral cases or longer-term support. Detailed notes and a session summary are emailed after every session, and ongoing email or phone support runs through the package term. Sessions are booked at the client's convenience rather than at fixed intervals.

Method

The written approach is reward-based, force-free and what the site calls concept training – building confidence, focus and self-control as the foundation, so the dog learns to behave appropriately on its own rather than being managed moment to moment.

What is on the menu

New dog owner sessions, puppy work, obedience, behavior modification, skill-building sessions, and a walk-and-train format. The stated problem set is pulling, jumping and reactivity.

Coverage

The site names Larchmont, Scarsdale and White Plains specifically, and Westchester, NY plus Greenwich, CT as the wider area.
