About Houston DogWorks
Training both ends of the leash
Houston DogWorks is a dog training facility at 3110 Yale St. in Houston. It was founded in 2019 by Josh Wiggins, its Founder and Director of Training, who is credited with over a decade of experience. Josh also specializes in gun dog training, serves as President of the Lone Star Chapter of NAVHDA, has been a nationally ranked AKC Obedience competitor and is an AKC Canine Good Citizen Program evaluator. Trainer Kennedy brings seven years of professional training experience and is an AKC CGC Evaluator and NASAR FUNSAR/SARTECH II certified responder.
Programs
Programs include Puppy Training, Obedience Foundations, Behavior & Aggression Rehab, Advanced Training, Competition Obedience Coaching and the GunDog Garage for bird dogs and their handlers. Problems addressed include leash pulling, reactivity and aggression, resource guarding, lack of recall, chasing and herding, and nuisance barking. Structured daycare reinforces training through the day, and boarding is reserved for training clients.
Approach
The team builds personalized programs and teaches owners to read and respond to their dog's cues, with a focus on trust, communication and teaching both ends of the leash.
What owners say
