About Humane Society Silicon Valley

Training classes

Humane Society Silicon Valley in Milpitas runs public training classes using dog-friendly, science-based positive reinforcement, for newly adopted dogs, long-time companions and puppies alike. Classes are open to the community, with new sessions enrolling each month.

Levels

Beginning classes help puppies and new-to-you dogs settle in, learn the basics and build good habits, from socialization to simple cues. Intermediate classes work on focus, distractions, smoother walks and steadier manners. Advanced classes polish higher-level skills, prepare dogs for the Canine Good Citizen test and introduce dog sports such as agility and flyball.
