About Innovative K9 Academy

Board and train on a 26-acre property

Innovative K9 Academy is a Salt Lake City dog training company at 1899 S Redwood Rd, with a second address in Spanish Fork. It specializes in board and train programs run on a 26-acre property with a 5,000+ square foot climate-controlled training facility and seven full-time trainers. Head trainer David Broderick graduated from the Michael Ellis School for Dog Trainers, is a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals and an AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator, and with his dog Idole placed 2nd at the 2016 Mondioring World Championship in Belgium.

How the programs work

Dogs live and train on the property, with photo and video updates and field trips so obedience holds in new places. Owners get a Demo Lesson a week before pickup and a Transition Lesson on pickup day, then follow-up group classes for lifetime support. The team describes a reward-based system.

Programs

The Puppy to Adult Dream Dog Course for puppies under 5 months covers obedience, confidence, greetings, socialization and potty training. Adult programs for dogs over 5 months cover off-leash obedience, behavior modification and impulse control, and there is a general obedience group class. Graduates can use VIP boarding and refresher training. Payment can be made in full, split into installments or financed.
