Founded by Julia Goldhirsh, it is now run by El, the long-time protege Julia chose as the new owner in August 2026.

The team describes itself as small-volume so each Pet Pal can give full attention, with American Red Cross CPR certification, Pet Sitters International training and 5-10 hours of professional development a year.
