About K-9 Kidz, LLC

Daycare, boarding and force-free training in North Hartland

K-9 Kidz is a dog daycare, boarding, training and grooming business at 590 Route 5 in North Hartland, with a pool on site. As members of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, the team follows a reward-based conditioning and positive reinforcement mindset: force-free, choice-based training meant to build trust and confidence. A full-time trainer on staff provides regular mental stimulation and enrichment for daycare dogs, and individual training is available during daycare, boarding or in the home.

Daycare and puppies

Daycare includes supervised play, group walking, foraging, manners training and reward-based conditioning. Dogs are grouped by age, temperament, play style and stamina, and groups rotate so dogs keep building social skills. Puppies are accepted from 8 weeks once vaccinated and cleared by their vet, and follow a structure of alternating play and rest, with crate conditioning and potty training included.

Credentials

Besides APDT membership, the team describes itself as Licensed Family Dog Mediators (Training Division) and members of the Pet Professional Guild and the National Dog Groomers Association of America. The business is licensed by the State of Vermont, insured and bonded, and the property is fully fenced with 6 foot stockade fencing.
