About K9 Mastery Institute

What they offer

K9 Mastery Institute is a woman-owned training company serving Southern Maryland, including Calvert, Charles and St. Mary's counties, along with other parts of Maryland, Virginia and Washington DC. Owner and lead trainer Victoria focuses on clear communication, structure and consistency, and on teaching owners to keep the training going.

Programs

Day training is a once-weekly, full-day session over four weeks, with time at the end of each day to work with your dog. Board and train programs of two, three or four weeks keep the dog with a trainer around the clock and suit highly reactive dogs. Private training, group classes, puppy training and a limited-space protection training program are also offered.

Approach

The trainers use a balanced approach, combining positive reinforcement with tools such as e-collars, slip leads and prong collars, chosen after evaluating each dog. They help with biting, leash pulling, anxiety and reactivity.
