About K9 Mastery LLC

K9 Mastery in Bastrop

K9 Mastery is a dog training, boarding and daycare business at 414 Walnut Creek Road in Bastrop, Texas, owned and operated by husband and wife Ryan and Christie Miller. Christie founded it in 2009 after finding methods that resolved serious aggression between her own dogs, and the business advertises over 15 years of training in Central Texas. It donates 10% of revenue to charity.

Method

Training follows traditional balanced German training philosophies that use both praise and correction, with the owner developed into the dog's leader. Food, toy and treat rewards are left out of the process, and lessons happen outdoors with controlled, graduated distractions so obedience holds in real-world situations.

Programs

Options include private lessons, Play & Train, board and train, obedience training and aggressive behavior modification. The boarding facility sits on 42.5 acres with climate-controlled kennels and owners on site, and daycare offers indoor and outdoor play areas. The Millers also foster dogs for local rescues.

What owners say
