About K9 to 5 Dog Services

Training in downtown Dover

K9 to 5 Dog Services trains dogs at 66 Third Street in Dover, New Hampshire (east side rear entrance). It uses science-based methods, with positive reinforcement as its primary training method, and later adds corrections based on the dog's sensitivity and the owner's comfort level. Group classes are semi-private, with no more than 5 people per class.

Trainers

Jacqui Pierce began training dogs in 2001, graduated from UNH in 2008 with a degree in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and a minor in animal behavior, and worked as a veterinary technician from 2007 to 2018. She graduated from the Triple Crown Academy for Dog Trainers (now Starmark Academy) with a certification in Canine Training and Behavior Modification and is an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. Her specialties are search and rescue, scent detection and service dog training. Private lessons for basic obedience and mild to moderate behavior problems are handled by staff trainer Abby.
