About Karens K-9 Training

What they offer

Karen's K9 Obedience (listed as Karens K-9 Training) describes itself as a dog training facility in Pascagoula, and its home page frames the goal as a dog that walks nicely on the leash, does not lunge at other dogs, stays under control with house guests and comes when called, even around distractions. Its menu lists obedience alongside day care and boarding.

How the training works

The home page says the business uses only positive training techniques and focuses on setting the dog up for success: owners are taught to give their dog opportunities to make good choices and to reward those choices. It describes an indoor training facility with a fenced outdoor area for exercise and socialization.

Daycare and background

The About Us page describes the daycare side as supervised play groups built around socialization. It names Karen and Fuzzy Crawford as the owners and says they have over 25 years' experience with dogs along the MS Gulf Coast, competed in the obedience ring early in their careers, taught obedience classes in Moss Point in 1994 and opened the Pascagoula business in 1996, offering daycare, boarding and obedience training. It also says both work with dogs from a local rescue that have behavior or socialization issues.
