About Kendo k9 Dog training

Training in Houston

KendoK9 is a Houston dog training business that serves dog owners across Texas, with all training sessions and evaluations by appointment. It works with family dogs, behavior cases, working dogs and service dogs, from new puppies through difficult adult dogs. Its homepage cites 10,000+ dogs trained, 25+ years of experience and a 99% success rate, and refers to its team as certified professional trainers.

Programs

Obedience Training covers sit, down, stay, come and heel, loose-leash walking, off-leash reliability, distraction proofing, place and boundary work, and handler education with follow-up support. Behavior Correction takes on leash reactivity and aggression, dog-to-dog issues, fear and phobias, resource guarding and separation anxiety, using threshold and desensitization work. The Working Dogs program covers personal protection, sport obedience (IPO/Schutzhund), drive development and competition preparation. Service Dogs training covers mobility assistance, medical alert for seizures and diabetes, PTSD and anxiety support, hearing alerts, autism safety support and public access reliability.

Approach

KendoK9 describes its methods as structured and grounded in behavioral science and practical experience, adapted to each dog's drive, temperament and learning style. Owners are taught the language of training so results last after sessions end.

What to ask

Ask which program fits your dog, where sessions take place, how long each program runs and what it costs.
