About LA Dogworks

What they offer

LA Dogworks is a 24-hour dog daycare and boarding center on Highland Avenue that also runs a training program through its Canine Enrichment Center, along with grooming, a shuttle service and a retail shop.

Puppy Preparatory School

The enrichment center's program starts with puppies around 12 to 14 weeks old. In two weeks of intensive training, puppies learn five basic behaviors, come, sit, down, stay and place, plus proper leash behavior. The first week teaches each behavior with positive reinforcement and treats of varying value, and the second week puts the skills to the test on field trips to stores, malls and restaurants and in the car. Between sessions, puppies socialize with other puppies and small dogs.
