About LAK9S

What they offer

LAK9s is a dog daycare, boarding and training facility on Ellis Avenue on the Culver City side of West LA, in business since 1999. Training is led by head behaviorist Colleen Steckloff in one-on-one sessions at the facility, and the business also offers daycare, overnight boarding, bath and brush grooming and virtual training.

Training

A private session is a long, two-and-a-half-hour appointment in which the behaviorist evaluates the dog and the household dynamic, shows the owner the rules, boundaries and structure the situation needs, and stays until the owner can carry it on. A second option adds a fully custom day-by-day training program. The site says the work covers puppies, rescues, and reactive, aggressive and anxious dogs, and that roughly half of each session is spent training the owner.
