Calista is wonderful with our special dogs, both puppy mill rescue dogs. She stayed patient and taught us so much, I'm so proud our very traumatized little dude went for his first leash walk today.i rate this 10/10 for sure.

I’ve had a few classes so far but my intuition has never failed me when gauging the vibes of others. Genuinely and honestly the hardest thing about finding a service dog trainer or program is one that understands YOU and your dog. And when I say understand I don’t mean a “you’re doing it wrong you have to do it this way” because not all dogs are the same and just like how no two people are like. They truly help you connect with your dog and improve, there’s no “my way or the highway” they curate a plan that works for you and your dog and build on your strengths. They uplift you, but also are honest about where you’re lacking and what you can do to improve. I feel seen, heard, and respected and my dog is happy and excited whenever we have a session. Not to mention I feel safe which is so very important for me since I’ve had to deal with many demeaning comments from trainers whenever I reached out for help. I had been looking for a service dog program for a few months when I came across Legacy Dog Training. From the moment I applied and throughout the entire process, the trainers exceeded my expectations in every way.

I had a limited budget and Legacy was very transparent about what the prices were going towards. I got to choose specifically what tasks my dog, Dolly, would be trained to complete. I did not close to utilize a payment plan but the offer was clearly communicated to me.

Throughout the 4 month training process, I received near-daily updates from the head trainer, Makailyn. I was given her personal phone number and could ask questions whenever I had them. She responded quickly and with well-thought-out answers. When it came time to receive my dog, I felt fully prepared for every aspect of her training and care thanks to their careful preparation.

I am located out of state from the Legacy headquarters in Toledo, OH. Communication and coordination of my picking Dolly up was clear and flexible to fit my schedule and needs. I've had my dog for two weeks and I am not exaggerating when I say she has changed my life in this short time. I am so so proud of her, and extremely grateful to Legacy for the wonderful foundation they gave me.

Legacy dog training did a great job with my twin Doberman puppies. These dogs were very timid at first and through the Basic Obedience classes have become more confident. Their training gave me the tools I need to continue their growth toward being great, family dogs. The trainers were very patient with them and gave them a safe space to learn and grow the confidence they needed. Highly recommend!

Mak has been so wonderful! I got Kobe from her October of 2024 after he washed from her service dog program and even though he’s not a full trained service dog he is so gentle, well behaved and well tempered! He’s got a great personality and Mak has been such a great resource through the process of him and I getting to know each other! She gave me a great on-ramp into pet ownership (Kobe is my first dog ever!) and I was nervous but Mak gave me great training and guidance and now Kobe and I are doing great! Thank you Legacy Dog Co! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for great customer service, great dogs and high quality training for a great price!
