About Lucky Dog Training Asheville

Lucky Dog Training Asheville is an independently and locally owned training business whose own contact block reads "Location Based in Asheville, NC" and which says it serves all of WNC, Upstate South Carolina and East Tennessee. Free initial phone consultations are published as the first step.

Programs

Four formats are published: a residential board and train, private sessions, group sessions and an online program. The residential program is run out of a private North Asheville home rather than a kennel – "Puppies and dogs live in a comfy, cozy, private North Asheville home with our dog trainer and Muttley Crew" – and group meet-ups are held regularly in North Asheville for leash work and socialization.

What they work on

The published topic list is puppy training basics, stopping puppy biting, potty training, crate training, dog obedience, leash training, advanced obedience, separation anxiety and service dog training. Anxiety work is called out as a specialty of its own, with a dedicated page.

Method

The site describes its methods as simple techniques based on dog biology, training "from the dog's point of view", and leans on dog-to-dog immersion: "Dog socialization and immersion training accelerate training progress." Every client's dog gets customized training videos stored in an online library, and continued trainer support after the program is included.
