Mellow Hound serves dog guardians in Sequim and surrounding areas with a behavior-first approach that starts by understanding what drives a dog's behavior. New clients begin with a consultation about the dog's history and goals, and then a progressive training plan with follow-up coaching. Support is also offered for puppies.

What training covers

Common areas include reactivity and over-arousal, fear and uncertainty, resource guarding, leash skills, recall, engagement, socialization and everyday life skills. A private training field in Sequim allows long-line work and controlled exposure to distractions, and sessions can move to parks, neighborhoods and stores. Current clients can join structured socialization sessions to practice around other dogs.
