About Mini Pearl’s Puppy Playground

Mini Pearl’s Puppy Playground describes itself as “A Premiere Dog Boarding, Doggie Day Care and Obedience Training Facility” and deliberately keeps numbers low: “We only take a limited number of dogs so your pet can receive the best of care and interactive playtime.”

Training

The obedience page states the problem in plain terms – dogs can be “unfocused, timid, hyper, disobedient, destructive, jumpy, shy” – and says “We offer dog behavior training to help correct all of these issues.” Training is delivered by Oscar Illescas, whom the site describes as an award-winning dog handler and a professional trainer of more than thirty years who “understands behavior issues, obedience issues”. His published background includes work at the Hollywood Dog Training School in California and Euro-Pros K-9 Dog Training Center in Sarasota, Florida. A free consultation is offered before any program starts.

Boarding and daycare

The site describes indoor and outdoor play areas with room to run, accommodation for both large and small dogs, acceptance of unaltered dogs, and flexible hours by prior arrangement, with published call hours of Monday to Friday, 7am to 9pm.

What to ask

Ask about prices, the class calendar and any third-party certification. The years-of-experience figure is the site’s own claim and is written in two different ways on the same page – “30 plus” in one place and “over 35 years” in another – so it is repeated here as published rather than treated as a fixed fact.
