My Dogs Mind is a community-oriented professional dog training facility at 102 Tide Mill Rd in Hampton, New Hampshire, with a separate day school facility at 55 Tide Mill Rd. It specializes in basic obedience, behavior modification, socialization and puppy development, and keeps things small, offering private lessons and small group classes. Its methodology treats dogs fairly, with a clear distinction between acceptable and unacceptable behavior, and never with anger, frustration or abuse; the trainers are experienced in clicker, remote collar, marker and traditional techniques, and the right method is the one that resonates with both owner and dog.

The team

Owner and trainer Terence Kirby created My Dogs Mind about two decades ago. He is a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals and apprenticed under trainers including Brian Kilcommons. Katie McHugh joined in 2012 and earned the IACP Certified Dog Trainer title in February 2022. Jackie St.Cyr and Danni St.Cyr are certified NACSW K9 Nose Work instructors, and Danni is also a CGC evaluator.

Services

Programs include private lessons, group training, drop-in classes, weekend pack walks, pre-puppy consulting, NACSW K9 Nosework classes and private lessons, aggression and reactivity work, and a day school.
