About Neuman K-9 Academy, Inc.

Board and train in Hugo

Neuman K-9 Academy is an all-breed obedience school in Hugo, MN that focuses exclusively on in-board boot camps for dogs and puppies, where the dog stays at the academy for the length of the program. The academy describes its techniques as proprietary, developed over many years of training and handling thousands of dogs, and it takes dogs from across the Twin Cities metro and beyond.

Programs

Dog Boot Camp teaches a dog to respond to commands in varied situations, meet and greet people under control and replace unwanted behaviors, alongside physical conditioning and confidence building. Puppy Boot Camp covers puppy obedience, crate training, etiquette, socialization and confidence, and can address nipping, biting and jumping. Graduates can return for boarding that reinforces what they learned.

Campus and routine

Dogs are housed in the lower level of a home with in-floor heat and filtered air. Training runs seven days a week from 7:00 AM to 9:30 PM, with a 10,000 sq ft fenced outdoor play area and 3,000 square feet of indoor training space. Multiple full-time trainers, male and female, work with each dog. Owners receive weekly email updates with photos, and every graduate gets a graduation video on the academy's YouTube channel.
